Winter Bathing Point 2026/2027
From 1 September 2026 to 31 May 2027, the Winter Bathing Point flag will fly at Købingsmark Beach for the first time.
Købingsmark Beach is part of the official Winter Bathing Point scheme, which sets requirements for aspects such as bathing water quality, lifesaving equipment and safe access to the water via steps and ladders.
Facilities at the beach
At the beach, you’ll find a lifebuoy and Falck first aid kit. An emergency telephone is available at the nearby campsite, and there is good mobile phone coverage in the area. Parking is also available.
From 1 November to 1 April, the toilets are only accessible when Nordals Vinterbadere are present.
The official beach number by the bathing jetty is A465. Further north, the beach number is A470.
During the summer season, Købingsmark Strand Camping also has a kiosk where you can buy refreshments and other items.
Follow the 8 winter bathing safety tips
Before entering the water:
- Check the bathing conditions and familiarise yourself with the safety equipment.
- Watch out for ice on the steps and jetty.
- Lower yourself slowly into the water.
- Never swim alone.
When you’re in the water:
- Breathe calmly.
- Keep an eye on each other.
- Stay close to the steps or exit point.
- Never swim under the ice.
