Kelstrup Plantation

Kelstrup Plantation - a scenic area for hikers, cyclists, and riders.

North of Kruså lies Kelstrup Plantation, covering nearly 331 hectares. A small stream, called Gejl Å, is running through the plantation. The plantation offers scenic trails, dense forest areas, steep slopes, and open plains, making it an ideal spot for nature lovers and hikers seeking peace and fresh air. Kelstrup Plantation is also a lovely area for those interested in the local flora and fauna.

You can find parking lots on Aabenraavej and in the middle of the forest on Stokkebrovej.

The plantation is accessible to hikers, cyclists, and riders. Dogs must be kept on a leash.

Within the plantation, you will find Kelstrup Nature School, offering education and events in nature. In the nature school’s garden, there are also various activities and facilities that can be used outside of the nature school’s opening hours. You will also find picnic benches where you can take a well-deserved break.

North of Kelstrup Nature School is the so-called Diversity-trail, leading you through both forest and meadow. The trail is a circular route of approximately 1.3 km, suitable for families. During the hike, you may come across elves, trolls, or wooden animals conveying information about nature.
