Juhls Bolighus Furniture Museum
In the centre of Sønderborg, Juhls Bolighus & Museum is a unique place for anyone who loves Danish furniture design. In the charming warehouse from 1852, built by merchant Peter Karberg, you are invited into a world of aesthetics, craftsmanship and history.
Juhls Bolighus & Museum houses a carefully selected collection of furniture from some of Denmark's most recognised designers.
Here you will find works by Hans J. Wegner, Børge Mogensen and Arne Jacobsen, all known for their timeless design and high quality. Each piece of furniture tells its own story and bears witness to the international impact of Danish design in its own way.
The old warehouse creates an atmospheric backdrop where the furniture comes into its own in authentic surroundings. In 2014, several of the pieces were loaned to a special exhibition at Tønder Museum to mark Wegner's 100th anniversary. This emphasises the value and historical significance of the collection.
Anyone with an interest in furniture design and cultural heritage is welcome at Juhls Bolighus. The exhibition is open all year round and admission is free.
We look forward to welcoming you to an experience with both edge and character.
You can experience the furniture during the store's opening hours.
