Discover life on a traditional farmhouse in Sønderjylland
At Jacob Michelsens Gård Local History Museum, you can also explore the past and discover how people in Southern Jutland lived more than 100 years ago.
The history of the farm can be traced back to Aabenraa's land register from 1535, and in 1847 it became the property of the Michelsen family.
Today, the historic family farm serves as a museum, displaying a collection of traditional tools, farmhouse furniture and textiles. Throughout the year, you can explore changing exhibitions about life on the farm, while the garden and historic buildings are opened to visitors on special occasions.
