Gravenstein Appelfair
Apples – apples – and more apples in every form, from freshly picked to apple cakes and apple wine just to name a few variations!

Apples can be used for many things: there’s apple juice and apple pork, and there are apples in cakes and in the dessert ‘bondepige med slør’, as well as in apple cider – and just imagine, they even ship apples to Flensburg.
The name, of course, reveals the main theme of this weekend’s event in Gråsten – the home town of Denmark’s national apple, the Gråsten Apple. By the way, did you know that the idea for the Apple logo came from our national apple?
The Apple Festival has a historical touch that continues to this day, albeit more symbolically, with ships setting sail from Gråsten Harbour bound for Flensburg in Germany, carrying the first harvest of that wonderful variety – the Gråsten apple.
You can find inspiration for what to do with this autumn’s apple harvest, or simply enjoy some lovely, cosy moments at Gråsten Harbour in good company and with good music.
Please note that Friday’s open part of the programme, featuring wine and cider tasting as well as music and a convivial atmosphere, takes place at Torvet in Gråsten.
