Rail Bikes Aabenraa
Try the popular rail bikes in Aabenraa and get up close to nature.

Rent a rail bike and travel from Aabenraa’s old railway station to Rise near Rødekro on one of Denmark’s most scenic railway routes, surrounded by the beautiful nature of Sønderjylland. Along the way, you will even pass under the E45 motorway through a long railway tunnel.
The rail bikes are easy to operate, and the models from 2022 have space for either two adults and one child or one adult and two children.
Along the route, you will find rest areas with tables and benches. So pack a picnic basket and enjoy the approximately 5 km ride, which takes about two hours, in good company.
Please note that persons under the age of 15 are not allowed to operate the rail bike alone.

You can download the “GoVisit” app (free in your app store) and search for rail bikes in Aabenraa. There you will find a calendar where you can check availability and pay for your booking.

The price is DKK 150 + fee for 2 hours per rail bike.
The rail bike season runs from spring to autumn.
