Slotsbyen Gram is one of the oldest towns in Southern Jutland and a unique place to visit. The castle town offers a broad palette of cultural and historical experiences in beautiful surroundings.

Gram Castle

History permeates the town of Gram, where the castle stands as the largest medieval building outside Copenhagen, dating back to around 1470. When you visit Gram Castle today, you can experience much more than the historical buildings. Take part in the many concerts, markets, guided tours, and try your hand at the famous South Jutland Coffee Table. Say hello to the animals in the mini zoo and taste the organic products in the café. If tempted, you can buy a souvenir in the organic farm shop. Everything from milk and flour to chocolate and wine is available here.

Castle Town

There is much more to discover in Gram than just a castle. Explore the city's history, notable personalities, and get up close to the city's development. You will pass by Gram Castle Inn and head up to the town where you can take a break and purchase some refreshments before the journey continues. On the way back, a stroll through the castle garden is recommended before you return to your car.

Now, set course for Lergraven, where a true family experience awaits. Experience the impressive exhibition and be amazed at the sight of Denmark's largest skeletons - the extinct whales. Remember your rubber boots as you walk directly down to the museum's old seabed in the clay pit.

Stop by Gram Leisurecenter. The space inspires endless play and activity as the journey takes you through the lively activity shelf and further onto the bridge across the hall. Try your hand at the obstacle course, jump track, and trampolines. Zoom down the large slide from the balcony and end the day with lunch in the café. If the weather allows, you can take a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool or enjoy the sun's rays while trying out the mini-golf course.
